1996, he became a full-time patrolman. Capt Smith graduated the Indiana
Law Enforcement Academy on December 19th, 1997 and has received specialized
training in the following areas; Criminal Investigations, Search Warrants, Crime Scene
Techniques, Covert Surveillance, Field Training Officer, DWI Detection, Standardized
Field Sobriety Testing, Evidence Processing and Photograph Techniques,
Confidential Informant Management, Domestic Violence Investigation, Sexual Assault
Investigations, Child Forensic Interviewing, and Computer Voice Stress Analyzing.
